    Default Terrova & US2 ?

Would someone please post a picture of their front deck and how the US2 cable is run? I am wondering how you leave enough cable slack to prevent the TM from breaking it when it makes a couple of 360's.. I would like to have the slack below deck if possible.

I need to finish my boat..

    Thanks

All you need to do is attach your depth finder to to the US2 connecter on the trolling motor with the appropriate adepter cable for your unit. The Terrova will not do a 360 on its own. Never tried to use the controller and make it spin though. Once it's gone about 360 it will stop and unwind and then resume. Rather kind of fun to watch...it's alive!!!! Hope this helps. Lonny

This is how much slack I have in mine. I ran it below deck using one of the mounting holes for the old trolling motor I replaced. It is coiled up under the deck loosely in hopes that if it ever does get super tight it will pull some extra cord out. I have not even come close to having that problem even with the cord wrapped twice around the trolling motor so I do not think it will ever be an issue. I ran the power cable the same way through one of the other mounting holes from the old trolling motor.

Goatisland & Jay Smith, thanks for the replies. Jay, I was in the process of doing the same as you did but was wondering if I left enough slack. Thanks for the pictures.

    Have a good week.

That would be really nice if the PDV2 didn't do a 360. Mine actually a 520 and ruined the transducers cable on my first outing on the boat. This one didn't have the US2 on it. Got a new one from Cabellas after this (with the US2) and my US2 cable is inside the coiled cable with th power cables (not in the middle of the coil like in Jah Smiths picture)
