You bet--not much too it--heck every now and then I forget this stuff and have to go over it in my mind again:)

Hummviewer is pretty good once you play with the color palette and settings. It Just doesn't show the best picture. I had to register my used 798 to get the update because something wasn't right.with the one on the.side imaging forums. But make sure you follow kd instructions . I have seen a lot of problems post update although I.have never experienced it and I have updated my 1198,998, and 798 multiple times. Just make sure you do it right the first time.

What is hummviewer? Is it part of Hummingbird PC ?

No its an independent app used for viewing recordings. It can be downloaded from the site I posted earlier in this thread

You need a Humminbird PC connect cable. Download the update to your computer, then connect the unit to the computer for the download.

Once thing with the humviewer I have problems with is that it is not as clear as what the screen on the water looks--ie lots of clutter but other than that it suites my purpose.
