Well fellas I have got myself into quite a project! Bought a 70 lb minnkota edge and put it on last night. My wiring is to small and the plug is tiny. Here is what I am thinking...Two new batteries, replacing the front deck with a new sheet of plywood and while I am at it making a new battery box in the front instead of back for the tm batteries, some new 6 gauge wire and Im fishing. Question, can I drill a small hole in the new deck and run the wires direct to the batteries (with a breaker of course) without putting a plug in?
My boat was previously 12 volt thats why new wire and maybe new battery location.

Yes you can do that. Personally I would use a breaker with a switch on it so I could turn the power off quickly if needed for any reason.
