    Default Qucik Help!

Have a Lowrance Mark 5x pro and while I was out tonight I couldn't differentiate anything on the graph. The screen wasn't solid blacked out but was majorly black making it impossible to find brushpiles or mark baitfish. Have not had this problem before although I am pretty new to electronics. Graph is wired to the same battery as trolling motor, only battery on boat, although transom transducer and bow mount TM. Only other thing on battery is running lights. It did not matter if the trolling motor was running or not still same problem. Even tried putting graph back in auto mode and still same problem. Have the extra cable for the transducer coiled up and zip tied together if that matters. I'm going back out tomorrow and need some things to try to get it going again, thanks!

Most Lowrances you can adjust the brightness by momentarily pressing the pwr button after turning it on.

It's not the brightness it's what the graph is reading. I'm going to try running it off a separate battery today

I'm thinking it might be the same problem of some sort. I had a green light out that I could barely see 7' down. When I got in water deeper than 15' it would read the bottom and I was able to actually see a couple brush piles. No fish that deep though

having the TM and DF on same batt will cause DF to have interference in most cases, can use a small 12v lawn mower batt to run DF, was the TM batt fully charged ??
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.
