    Default Resettable fuse for I-Pilot

Well, I thought I was through installing my I-Pilot on my Tracker, but it seems I need and inline resettable 60 amp fuse. I assumed since my boat was factory wired with a TM(Motorguide 12volt) it would have the necessary fuses, but I don't find and inline fuse as required in the MK installation manual.
Did you guys install one on yours and where would I find one? It is the 12 volt Terrova I-Pilot.
    Thanks

I used a 50amp because the 60 was way to much, the only time you need 60amp protection imho is if you were trolling on 10 for an extended period of time. The one I got at an automotive supply and it connects to the battery post, then the wire from the trolling motor hooks to it, cost about $8. Hope this in some small way helps.

    Cabela's: Manual Reset Circuit Breaker
Keep in mind that the size of the circuit breaker depends on the size of the wire. The proper size of wire depends on the load (troller) and distance between battery and troller.

All I put in mine was an inline 50 amp fuse. I never had any problems.

The manual called for 60 amp but I'd go with 50 if I can find one that is easy to install. Where did you find one? I had a problem trying to solder the 8 ga wire so I was looking for one that had some sort of screw down connector on it.

SeaRay you can get the fuses and connectors at a NAPA store. Keep in mind for warranty's sake that the instructions says to use a 60 AMP but I decided to use the 50 AMP.

The oem in-line fuse holder will be on the red/power wire close to the TM batt connection, probably one of the glass fuses, that is what I had on my 04 tracker. Just follow it back and you should find it within a couple feet of the battery connection. It's an in-line connection and when I removed the fuse to do the install, the fuse/connector was corroded, so I junked it and got one of the re-settable ones from my local dealer for $8. The link in BB's post is very similar to what I used, so if the TM pops the breaker for some reason, just hit the re-set and keep fishing.

You will have to cut the oem fuse holder off of the power wire, install a ring connector and then make the connection. You may or may not have to make another short jumper wire with ring connectors to make the connection to the TM batt depending on the type/style of new breaker you get.

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

My Tracker had a MG factory installed as well. I installed a MK ipilot and continue to use the circuit breaker that is wired in the circuit. It's next to the battey.
