Thread: Transducer problems? Humminbird

787c2i, sonar goes blank. Been having troubles with it. Only been showing red/black bottom returns double bottom etc..then just goes blank. The rest of unit is fine so I'm thinkin it's the ducer. Any thoughts?

Is there anyone else that you know of that has a Humminbird unit that allow you to test your 787c2i unit on their boat? It does not have to be another 787c2i unit as most use the same 200/83kHz 2D sonar (just don’t test it on one of the new DI unit’s transducers). Just plug in only the power and transducer for the test. This will tell you whether it is the transducer or not.

The QuadraBeam transducers have the same 200/83kHz 2D sonar as do the DualBeam transducers. They are ‘better’ in that they can cover a wider area due to the two added Side Beam elements inside the transducer (not the same as Side Imaging).
