    Default Need Hummnibird help

HummINbird, LOL can't spell anymore I guess!

Did updates awhile back on my 787 to V5.420 and 797 to V5.450...

Ever since, my interlink doesn't work.

Connects and then disconnects over and over, ask me to sync but then throws an error, says failed to sync.

Worked fine before, through a couple different software versions. The only time I've seen it do this was when
I had the boat in the shop and thus no gps reception. Tried to run both units in simulation just to play with them,
and it acted like this, but soon as I moved outside and got satellite lock on, worked fine. Now it's doing it even on
    the lake. Help?

Try resetting the InterLink by following this procedure:

Well, tried everything I could think of, saved my waypoints onto a card and deleted everything off both units and the interlink. Status shows all 0's and it will briefly show both units unlocked and with 0's - then it starts toggling back and forth, connected then disconnect. It will do this with either unit plugged in alone. Tried switching ports, power on/off in every imaginable combination. No dice, and not amused.
Contemplated seriously sitting the interlink on a fence post and taking vengeance on it with my 44, but luckily (for it)
it was too dark for an adequate sight picture by the time I reached that level of frustration. But there is always tomorrow.

Those software versions should work together. Sounds like it may be the InterLink itself. I would call the Humminbird Customer Resource folks and see about getting it fixed.
