Add the co pilot or ipilot and you can use a remote--of go with a Terrova if wanting to buy new. Oh--if the 48" was working--go with that--seems a bit short to me though--just my 2cents

Good afternoon All,
I have a 165 classic Alumacraft deep vee boat and wanted to install a foot control trolling motor and was wondering what the shaft length needs to be. It came with a MK PD V2 55# in a 48" shaft, but being that i was use to a traditional foot control this thing is a pain in the back side to run. Don't get me wrong this is a good running motor more than suitable for my boat it is the power drive that gets me, it may be my Fred Flintstone feet, when I'm running it it seems to change directions when it wants to and that is real problem with me.
Any advise is greatly apperciated.
Thanks
Doc.

Thanks for the input Gents, I will see what i can find. I know that BPS has a special on the new MK Edge 55# with a 45" shaft with a bonus HB DF pkg deal might have to check that out and do some measuring.

I have the same boat, came with the same TM, changed it out to the Terrova 80, 24v, 60" , I-pilot,& US2,, LOVE IT I really do,
so much better to get up and down, if you get a new one try and get a longer shaft than 45" in the Terrova like 60""
