As to Navplanner 2, be careful about buying it as I believe it has been discontinued by Fugawi (you can still buy it for the time being, but I'll bet future support will be limited.)

If your chart was purchased less than 2 months ago, you are currently eligible for free updates for a year. Freshest Data must be started within two months of purchase. If your chart was produced before June 2010, to update you need to replace it with a new one, which you can buy online or at a dealer.
