Hb transducer question

I have a pirahnamax 170 and I recently ordered a mounting br a key for my tm from bps. Said on the site fits all transducers paid 30$ for it but I found out today it will not work on mine so when I get it it's going right back. So instead I ordered a puck transducer for 20 dollars more. Was wondering if the puck will do as good as the transom mount one that came with it. Thanx again guys

The reviews I seen on the puck are very good but I'd like to know from the experts that haven't steered me wrong on here it's the STM 9 20

Don't know about Your particular unit with the puck but I had a Lowrance X97 with the TM puck and it did just as good as a regular transom mount transducer. Most pucks have a slot cut for a large hose clamp to go through so they will easily work on the trolling motor.CF

Uhhhh… make that an XTM-9-20-T transducer if you want water temperature.

This transducer has the same internal electronics in it that the transom mount one does and so will work equally as well as the standard transom mounted one does.

I had to turn off that auto correct feature on my Iphone..

That thing bout drove me crazy with the odd stuff it wanted to fill in for me...
