HB claims their units will accept up to the 32Gb cards...
Optimal size would be more of a SD card cost factor...(higher Gb cost more)..
I would suggest at least a 2Gb if you are going to use the recording feature of the HB unit...
Recordings should be kept to less than 30 minutes each....especially if you plan on viewing recordings in Humviewer... There is a LOT of GPS data that has to be loaded into the Humviewer program to view...
You can get several 30 minute recordings on a 2Gb card....
Software updates are small in comparison to recordings... So card size for updating your unit is not really important...I think even a small 128mB card would probably work for updating software...

The largest software update that I have seen was less than 20MB in size so even an old 32MB MMC memory card could be used. Future software updates may be larger though so I would look for a larger memory card than that. I don’t think that you could easily find anything smaller than a 2GB SD memory card now, so this should not be a worry.
