    Default HB Chart Speed Settings?

Ok, I know I'm supposed to match my chart speed with my forward speed. Problem is is the 798 chart speed setting is set for 1-10. That does not tell me much. Sounds like just a settings number. Could You guys tell me what You have Your chart speed settings on and the speed You are running while scanning? Thanks.CF

That would be 1-10mph. If your going 3mph set it at 3.

Thanks Shot. I looked in the book and all over and could not find a breakdown on what the numbers meant.CF

The menu numbers are just that: numbers of the available settings, They were not designed to mean 1 = 1 mph, 2 = 2 mph, but this is just how it turned out. For some those numbers would be too fast and for others too slow. They are a good starting point though as most think that they will get more/faster sonar information if they turn it up to the maximum setting (which does not happen).
