I have a stratos 264 bass boat. My transom has no steps just a strake or two on either side of the V in the hull. I have a jack plate that sets the motor back around 4 inches. I should be able to mount the SI TD where it will shoot just under the jack plate but will be close. If I look from the side, the top of the transducer will barely clear the bottom of the jack plate. Will this still give me any problem? or is this pretty no brainer clear side to side shot stuff? Was thinking of running it to the right of my old depth finder transducer because the SI transducer is bigger, a trailer bunk becomes an issue. But moving it to the right puts me on the other side of a strake that runs along the bottom of the hull to the back. Is this going to create problems with bubbles? I will not be mounting right on the strake will be few inches from it. Also how low down below the transom do I need to get the bottom of the transducer to pick up 2d sonar at say 40 mph? thanks for any help You may be able to give. Mine is a 798 ci si by the way. If that makes any difference. Thanks.CF
