Default Multiple Software Updates to Humminbird

I have a new HB 898. After registering the product, I see there are three programs to download. I now have the programs on an SD card, ready to insert into the 898. I understand that I have to reset the unit to Factory Defaults.

What I don't know is: how do I do that with three programs to download? Do I just reset to Factory Defaults once to begin with and then insert the SD card? Or do I reset to Factory Defaults before downloading each program (three resets)?

    Thanks for any help.

If the three you are talking about are Humminbird PC, SON2xtf and 6.180, you only want to put the 6.180 on your unit. The other 2 are for your computer not the 898. Take them off of your SD card before inserting into your 898.

Thanks Kenny. Those are the exact programs I was referring to. I'll take those two off.

It won't matter if those other programs are on the card. The 898 Will only Download the Update that is specifically for it.

I do it all the time.

Thanks for that input Wiskers. I have removed the two programs from the SD card, but I have them on my PC. But, good info knowing that I don't really have to worry about it.
