Default Having trouble with Battery charger?

I've had more problems with chargers last few years. I have an antique charger that an old woman gave me in 70's that still works. Been through a bunch from Wally world and last one was a Schemake I bought online. I really thought it was great till it stopped working in a few months. About ready to call or return it for service. Checked it over and found cheap wire was broken on clamps. Repaired the connection and it's again charging.

Had to do the same thing to a Ship & Shore deep cycle charger this week. The ground clamp wire was loose. Finally burned off. Found it accidentally as I was about to chunk it. Cut the wire back, changed sides on the clamp and crimped it good. Works like new. Wonder how many I have chunked over the years because of that? You are right, they just don't make things today as well as they did 20 years ago.
