    Default Update attempt-FAIL, but not why you think.


    I been out messing with the boat, decided to do the update anyhow. I am running Firefox on Hughes.net, and this Download Manager thing has me bout ready to kick a hole in something. It shows it downloading, with a progress scale, then download complete. After that I never see it again. No history of a download, no download scheduled, no file anywhere I've looked on the computer. GONE. Four times now and counting...Just knock me in the head. LOL

    Are you downloading to a SD card or to your hard drive?

    When this happens open up the download manager and look at the top one on the download list, that is what you just downloaded. If you want to run/install it just double click on that one and it will run and install from there. Downloads is under the tools target at the top. Just doubleclick on the top one you don't have to find or even know where it is.

    Inet provider shouldn't matter. For the sake of making things easy why not try internet explorer. (meant to say that the first time)

    FAADAN, I'm not picky, I tried them both.

    z, no dice, not on any list, anywhere.

    mduncan, I hear you, but that doesn't help. LOL

    I finally got it. Updated Adobe was one thing we done. Don't know if that was it or not. My wife done some other things too. Don't know, but finally got it downloaded. What a pain. Never had this much trouble before.
