Default Temperature setting on HDS 8gen2 and HDS 5

Just installed the HDS8 gen2 at the console of my boat and linked it to the HDS5 at the front of the boat. When I set the temperature on the HDS8 it makes my temperature setting on my HDS5 switch to "Invalid". banghead How can I get the HDS 8 to read the water temperature off of the LSS1 tranducer and still allow the HDS5 to read the temperature off of the trolling motor transducer?

    Thanks for your help!!

Use local temperature settings instead of global.

You have to have the 2d transducer hooked to the HDS5.

CanePole thank you very much for the information. I set each unit to Local and each seem to be working ok. One last question....with each unit set on Local, should I leave the Network Sonar selected on each unit or should I disable that feature?

    Thanks again for the help!!

Leave it on so you can share di/si/2d. You can localize your depth readings if you like. See what happens them play with the local/global settings. If you auto detect devices, this willl screw your local settings up.

Once you get the unit set up like you want it, you can save your settings to memory. Go to waypoints, trails, routes page. Highlite files, enter...... highlite setings,enter.....highlite memory card, then enter. This saves all your personal settings. You can restore all your settings from this saved file.
