    Default I-Pilot??

How easy does the trolling motor go in and out of the water? Does it have spring assist?

The IP is a accessory for the TM which fits the MK Terrova and PD models, it does not affect how either model deploys or stows. I have a Terrova and it deploys/stows very easily. No pull rope just a lever you push down, and lift the motor head up, and it almost (will) fall overboard so to speak. To stow it, push the same lever and pull up on the motor head and lay it down in its mounting bracket and lock it in place. No spring assist on the Terrova. I can't say on the PD, never had one.

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

No springs on the PD either. The older models could be downright dangerous at times but I've heard they improved that on newer models but don't know for sure.

I was a little worried about that when I ordered my terrova, but after I got it I really like it. Deploys and stows easily.

Makes it easier with the longer shaff , Maybe just me , will swing better in the boat, offsets the motor wt.

The PD deploys and stores easily IF you keep it lubed. I wipe the shaft down with a silicone spray each time I come out of the water. If it gets dry it's tough on the back to get in and out.
