    A system that was set up for 24v may have wires that are too small to carry the higher amperage your 12v TM will draw. Unless you're running new (heavier) wires for the 12v TM, check for voltage drop. If the wire feels warm when you're running the 12v motor, you're losing a lot of battery power to resistance.
