Thread: 597 ci hd di question

Can anyone that has one of these units tell me how well they work in the DI mode when they're on the trolling motor? Got one for my birthday and can't decide where to put it.

Mine works great, and couldn't be happier except for rf interference from the trolling motor. The interference isn't present when going full speed but any time I slow it down i get interference. HB is really working with me to help get rid of the noise!! Which is the reason I bought a HB in the first place, customer service!

I have the 596 HD DI which is close. It's on the trolling motor. My trolling motor is not an infinite speed type, it's one where I have 5 speeds to choose from and with this kind I get no rf interfrence at all. I like it a lot. If yours works as well as mine does you're going to love it.

I just got mine too, and since I can't afford two new sonars, I'm going to buy a second quick disconnect mount and a second transducer....one trransducer is on the transom, the other will go on the TM, that way I can plug it in at the console to use the GPS, and then plug it in at the TM to use the DI or 2D
