Last year when I got my first hds I wanted to get my etech set up with the nmea2000. Was going to do what you had mentioned about the fuel thing. After talking with Justin (at 3Rivers) I backed off in getting the fuel flow monitor. He mentioned the fact that he knew of "one" individual who lost his engine due to adding the component. It had to do with a malfunction of the sensor. Granted, this conversation with him was over a year ago and I am pretty much paraphrasing our conversation. Chances are if I put the fuel flow on the nmea2000 system I wouldn't notice any problems. I didn't want to risk my new engine.....That being said, I do like having the nmea kit and its easy to add components to the backbone...just have so many wires to deal with now!
