    im getting ready to hook up my new 24v trolling motor. now when i go to hook up my other accesories, how do i hook up the pos and neg? do i hook them up to just 1 battery? or do i hook the neg to 1 battery and the pos to the other? i only will have the 2 batterys.

    Hook to 1 battery, otherwise you will fry your acc.

    Yes, just hook to one battery but hook all your electronics to the starting battery. Pumps are OK but electronics do not like surges and you get a lot of them from your TM.

    Sounds to me if I understand your post that you need a 3rd battery for your electronics as you may be asking for biggie trouble hooking up any electronics to one of those troller batteries. Just my one cent worth..........

    Do you have an outboard that uses a battery? If so, the accessories should be on that battery. Sharing the cranking/accessory battery and TM battery can lead to some problems. You can do it if you don't have a built-in TM transducer, but you have to be aware of the issues.

    no i dont have a startn battery. outboards only a 25. but it sounds like i need 1. just to b on the safe side. thanks for the help guys
