    feel for you. I was afraid I would end up doing the exact thing that happened to you, so I moved my ducer to the back of the boat, but have not gotten the ducer wire permanently mounted/hidden out of sight (think true redneck mounting) it's just wire tied to the cleats on the side LOL, that is one winter project for me, looking for something to encase the ducer wire before doing it permanently under the floor.
