Not sure what all was goes in a kit but they sent me the big TM choke and the shielded transducer. I already had chokes on my power cables and on my interlink cables. What else would be included in this kit?

You said that removing the xducer from the TM and dropping it in the water "away" from the TM allowed the interference to get better....

    How old is your TM...??
    Maybe the brushes are worn...

If he already had the chokes on the power and InterLink cables along with the trolling motor choke and shielded transducer than that is the trolling motor interference kit.
I don’t know what else he can do at this point unless he can get the interference from the trolling motor stopped somehow.

I guess I'm sort of glad that I'm broke right now...been itching to get a new sonar for the front of the boat to replace an old Lowrance cheapie.....no sense in spending a thou and not have anything better than what I already have....except it would be a bunch of lines in color!!

Has anyone experimented with some kind of alternate mount to keep the transducer in the front, but not connected to the tm?

just a thought that i just got.......... being that ,from what ive been reading is that most of this interference

that people are getting is coming from the pulsing that these newer trolling motor are utilizing .these pulses are the interference. can the pulsing be deactivated in the trolling motor? if so how big of a job would this be ? how much would this affect your trolling motor battery life and would this be a good trade off ?
