well, I mounted a piece of aluminum angle to the gray bar shown above, and then the xducer to the alum angle, and seems to work fine the 2 or 3 trips I've made since doing it. I did this primarly to avoid the dreaded "snapped ducer wire" from using the ipilot anchor lock and the head spinning over 360*, does not seem to affect the picture on the FF, now just have to run the wire under the floor or get it mounted in a more permanent manner.
