One must remember that interference can be created by many different sources..just 1 of which may be the TM...there are even rare cases where 2 boats close enough together (each running sonar) can cause interference...

If you are just getting ready to do an install...it may be worth your while to just hook it up and test it...you may 1 of the lucky few that needs no modifications at all to prevent sonar interference...

If you do experience interference..then it's just a process of elimination to track the interference source down and rectify it...using Canepole's provided info...

PS...I solder all of my marine application wiring splices..and try to make those splices totally water proof...
