I went out with my best friend today with this setup. It took some time but it showed us the bait and fish we was looking for to catch winter crappie.

Take your time, brother ... get them peepers fixed & healed, first !! Soonest I'm likely to be at Watts Bar would be mid April, anyway.

    Thumbs up Screenshot trial ...

OK .... here is a screenshot, taken from my unit. Unit is set to have chart & sonar in the "above/below" configuration, rather than side by side. I've yet to actually use it, configured like this, but I will, since it gives a wider view of the chart & a longer history of the sonar.

I took this screenshot by placing the blank micro sd card in the unit, setting the sonar on "simulate" & dialed in one of my waypoints on the chart, then simply pushing the "power" button & then the "+" (zoom/MOB) button.

I removed the card from the unit, put it back into the flashdrive reader, plugged it into a usb port on my computer, and imported it into my picture files.

Then I opened up this thread & used the "Insert Image" icon to download the image onto this message box.

This is the resulting image :

    Name: 002.jpg
Views: 1112
Size: 116.5 KB

I just wanted to see, for myself, what this process would produce ... and to show other owners. So, now that I know that it works, and how it's done, I can share screenshots .... and not have to fumble around with a camera

Absolutely fantastic ! Right now I am still dealing with eye surguries on both eyes, the right one ha sthe lense out will not get an implant until Feb 15th. Then the left will one will be scheduled. I am afraid that this will run into the Spring Crappie fishing. I did this scheduled in the Winter to avoid messing up the Spring but it just keeps dragging on for me. A man got to do what a man got to do I guess. I like the way the over and under display looks, I have not used mine like that an dreally have not used the sid by side too much yet. After I get my eyes back it looks like I have a lot of playing to do. Thx a bunch !

Pepop .... I answered your PM. But, I will check my unit & post a "how to", just to be sure I told you right.

OK ... it looks like you don't necessarily have to be in Advanced Mode, as I tried it both ways and the sequence is the same.

Here's the sequence to follow :

    Press Menu button ...
    down arrow to Settings
    right arrow
    up arrow to System
    press Enter key
    down arrow to Chart/Sonar Split
    press Enter key
    up arrow to Over
    Press Enter button
Then press Menu button twice & you're back to the display screen, which should be showing the Chart over the Sonar screen split.

The screen section that is currently interactive, will have an orange border. To switch which screen section your keys will change the configuration of ... Press the "Pages" button twice. The orange border will move to the other screen section, and your buttons will now be connected to that section ... for any changes needed.

Thanks a million, I did not use the split screen much with it set on side by side because I did see as much as I wanted to. Now with the Over set I am sure I will use it more. Thx again !

Pepop tells me that he thinks you have to have the latest update, before you can access the over/under screen split.
I had already downloaded the update, before switching to the over/under split, so I don't know if the update added that function or not. But, one should go ahead & do the update, whether or not the split screen function is added.

I did check my unit. It will need to be updated, but it is difficult for me to attempt to do it at this time with only one eye and it is not working to well. After I get my surgeries over I will do it. Thanks
