    What different color pallets does this unit have? Can the regular sonar be viewed in the original greyscale?

    Yes the 798ci HD Si units have a grayscale color setting (I think that the menu setting is “Gray”). I personally don’t think that it paints as pretty of a picture as a true B&W or monochrome LCD unit though.
