Thanks for the info Jimp. I will be placing my order with Cabela's tonight. Just need to figure out how to hide the darn thing from the wife until I can install it. Once it is on the boat she will not know the difference

I was surprised myself as had heard several comments they were high on everything, but I had no choice in trying to find a new fuse. I caught a service tech out in the showroom, and he was very helpful and found the parts I needed, offered tips & suggestions on how they do something similar to my Terrova project, etc.. They are a Skeeter/G3 dealer, got to see a nice vinyl edition G3 boat, as I had been wanting to see one up close, but not sure I would pick vinyl. Even the salesman was nice/polite and not pushy, answered some dumb questions w/o hestiation. When the time comes for a new boat, I will go there and see what they can do for me

just have it shipped here, I will make sure she won't find it and you can try out ET water while you're here. Oh, it comes in a 6 foot TALL box, VERY VERY HARD to hide, but suggest you just leave it in plain site, she won't see it. My wife almost ran over it when it was leaning up against the wall, didn't even see it. LOL, but could have been really really bad if she had run over it.

I was over your way today. Went to pick my daughter up from UT Knoxville. She is home for the weekend. I did the round trip deal from Memphis...about 5 1/2 hours each way. Man am I tired. Beautiful scenery with the trees changing colors in East TN.

Man you drive fast LOL. Yeah, the colors are starting to show up, but we had some rain and wind on Monday and Tues, and blew some off the trees. Next time you are up this way, let me know in advance if you'll have time to drown a grub, maybe we can get on the water.

I didn't use the plug. I put in an On/Off switch. This not a very good picture but look betwwen my babies and you can see it. Rated at 60 amps, works good with the larger wire you need. The MG wiring is really not large enough for the new TM.

well, finally got the boat on the water to try the new Terrova out, and I LIKE it. Once I got the foot pedal controls figured out, somewhat different than the MG I removed for the Terrova. Reall like having the ability to control my speed with the variable speed control, got it down to .5 mph on a steady basis just messing around with it, where as the MG was speed 1, 2, etc. which was 1.0 or more depending on the wind, current, etc., on speed 1. And I can increase my speed in increments of .1 very easy as well.

Oh, I installed the Ipilot when I got home, and going back tomorrow to see how much more fun I can have.Thumbs Up

Good to hear Jimp! I cannot wait until i get my Terrova. It should be here later this week. I think I will wait and purchase the I-Pilot next year. This will give me time to master the foot control before the spring spawn as I fish in the trees and stumps a lot.

It won't take you long to get a handle on the new footcontrol. The biggest difference I have noted is the Terrova is electric steer, where I was use to the cable push/pull. I was very accustomed to my MG footcontrol, and the Terrova footcontrol is a bit different as it has few more controls. The main footpad controls direction just like a MG, (push with the toes or heel) but it also has two directional pads on the lower left & right for minor directional changes. Great for making just minor changes in your course, and easier. there is a circle pad for the AP and "constant on" function which is easier than the MG I had (base base MG). Everything is just a tap with foot. It will look confusing, but I adjusted to it in an hour or 2 on Sunday, and then felt right at home on Monday morning when I got to the lake. Just remember that the Terrova can spin over 360 degrees and can/will wrap the main power cord and any ducer cords around the upper shaft, and bind it, so pay attention to that.

I considered waiting on the newer model of Ipilot, but when using the 2011 model I have (3 recordable tracks and anchor lock locations vs 6 for 2012 modes) I feel I made a good choice as I saved about $100 and I seriously doubt I would never use all 6 memory locations as I longline 99% of the time, and pull CB's 1%. The anchor spotlock works good for me if get hung up, or I'm changing out lures, re-tying, etc, and I don't drift or have to worry about getting beached, etc., the record a track function is handy and enjoyable as well. Only bad thing about it is "you have to remember to press the record button" as I forgot a couple times yesterday and wish I had after I made my run as I found the fish and was able to pull some in.

But I had my HH gps, and was able to back track fairly easy. The autopilot function is handy as well for longlining. Next up is figuring out my electronics upgrades I'm considering.
