Default Tracker owner who have moved to a MK TM

how did you make the power connection for a MK TM when you removed the MG that has/had the power plug at the bow. Did you hard wire the MK, use the oem MG plug spliced into the MK power wire, use a new plug/receptacle or ????

I would just use the end that fits the plug in the boat.
Take it off the old troller and use it.

got a new plug for $9, gonna install it on the MK power wire and be good to go. Can sell the old MG intact now, if ya know anyone looking for a good MG 43 pro series 5 speed, makes some squeakin' noise on 5/high, but other than that, runs good. Never given me any other problems from day one.

I just did the same thing--went from a MG classic 50lb thrust 12/24v to a powerdrive v2 24v 70lb. I used the old plug easy as pie. So I have a TM for sale--has one bad pulled on the foot pedal but still runs fine.

The plug isn't part of the TM. When you buy a new one, it doesn't come with a plug. You just buy what you need.

Jump, did you have to run 6 gauge wire for the 12 volt Terrova? I have a 2006 Tracker PT 175 and I am thinking of purchasing the same Terrova.

no, I did not run new wire from the batts to bow. I believe the oem wire was/is 8ga, and since I stayed 12v, I saw no reason. I was checking the inline fuse on the original power wire, and the glass fuse was corroded, and broke in two when I finally got the fuse holder apart. Could not find a matching glass fuse, so I got a resettable 50amp breaker, and installed the new breaker in place of the old in-line fuse holder. I would suggest you do the same, on the assumption you have an inline fuse w/ a 40amp fuse, you may have trouble finding the 40amp glass fuses, I could not find them locally, and this 50amp breaker is re-settable, and was <$6.00 at the local boat dealer. New matching power plug was $9.00 @ dealer, while the same one at BPS is $15 or more. My Ipilot arrived Name: view1.jpg
