    Default Cleaning HDS screen

Confirmed today that it is ok to clean HDS screen with Windex, even Windex with ammonia. This info is in the manuals under Unit Care heading. Goodie. Goodie.

Books hard to keep up with. Dial 800 etc.

Cane, I just read that too. I have always used a small spray bottle of water with few drops of vinegar in it. works like windex, but not as strong.Has never smeared glass

Dilute some alcohol in water in a spray bottle and use a micro cloth, prevents any micro scratches and the solution cleans very well with very little needed when sprayed. Use it all the time.

Wouldn't have guessed that CP. Everything prior to the HDS line explicity excluded ammonia based products. Must be a different material for the screen these days.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

Yep. I avoided stuff because HB said stay away. We always have Windex handy, but now I want worry about what is inside (I hope).

You never know what is in the bottles from the Dollar Store.

Never know what to believe about this stuff. I have been using Philips lcd cleaner. Wal Mart don't sell it now.

I was in the eyeglass business for 30 year's and we used the same coating on eyeglass's.It is called Anti-reflective Coating,is it is used to cut down on glare it is the same coating they use on these depth finder's.They make a special cleaner for this that you can buy at any optical store, that is what I use to clean my screen's.The main thing with these screen's is not to have alot of dust or any debree on them when you clean them as this coating will scratch real easy. But CP is correct with his post.

Cane Pole, Richard Williams turned me onto some stuff called Krystal Vision. We got it a boat dealership just down the road from the Fishtale lodge. Kind of pricey but, the stuff is pretty Amazing.
I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin' and hook up with them later.
