This observation made when using the 2d with DI overlay.

First the DI and 2d scroll are not in sync due to design. I suspect this is the problem/reason or whatever you wanna call the event.

When running 2d at normal scroll speed with DI overlay selected, the DI overlay works fine.

However, if you speed the 2d scroll speed up or down, the DI overlay disappears. It only displays when scroll is set to normal.

Since the 2d/DI scroll are not synced, I set the 2d scroll to X2 to closely display a synced scroll with the 2d keeping up with the DI scroll. The DI scroll is fixed, non variable.

Nothing in the book about this event. Sure doesn't make me real happy when I find out the hard way.

Ima figuring it all out on the HDS.

I like this overlay stuff though.

That is because we cannot change the scroll speed on StructureScan, it is a fixed speed to draw the image. When you change the scroll speed on 2d sonar the downscan scroll speed is no longer synced so it turns off.

I suspected pretty good didn't I. I try to inform folks here, especially with my observations.
