SD Card for 898
Plan getting a couple new high speed SD cards for my 898. I know it will use an 8GB because that is what I am using now but it is nor High Speed. Will it use a 16 GB card? Walmart has some class 10 cards online with free home shipping.

Some electronics and I'll be the first to say I don't know a thing about fish finders but I don't believe that a bigger sd card is gonna speed anything up, it just gives you more storage. I'd check your manual or on-line and see what they recommend. Walmart can be a real pain in the butt about taking any electronics item back once it's been opened.

Look at the speed (data transfer rate) of the sd. 1x speed is 1 MB/s data transfer rate and 30x speed would be 30 MB/s. Do the math. If you take a snap shot, you can actually see the difference between the speeds during snapshot composure (sd data write time).
