Remote durability has been an issue for me. Sounds like some good improvements.

I don't think I need the extra spots and tracks. The old remote is armor covered, and the new one isnt, or didnt look like it. Might ad a new remote if it ain't to much, and I like the feel. Haven't had any trouble with my old one though.

Heck, I'd just like to get a replacement remote for the one that went screwy over a year ago! MinnKota and the ASC have taken their sweet time in replacing it. I'd finally had enough last week and took my Terrova to another ASC. Besides, I needed a new shaft because I destructed the indestructible shaft! Glad it has a lifetime warranty, just hope I don't have to wait a year and half to get it replaced!

Man that is scary.....Mine self-deployed once coming up the ramp. Only scrapped a little metal off the skeg. Needless to say, I now adjust the collar each tiime I transport the boat.

I got the ram mount rig. Easy to remember. Shaft has a big teet sticking out all the time. Hard to miss.

One of the few times I failed to use my RAM mount on my PD, it decided to self-deploy. Luckily I saw it happening and got off plane before it could. I transferred the RAM to my Terrova and try to place it on the ball every time I get ready to move. I figure at $70 or so, the RAM TM mount is cheap insurance.
