1. Create a folder on your desktop and label it HB
2. In this HB folder create the following:
a. a shortcut to the Humviewer program
b. a shortcut to the HB PC program (this just makes your HB stuff easier to find later)
c. a new folder labeled HB recordings
d. a shortcut to the Google Earth program you created with Humviewer
(Note: create a shortcut by right clicking and dragging the original program into the new HB folder...when you let go of the mouse...select "copy here" from the popup window)
3. Put the SD card in your pc's card reader...if it does not automatically open up...click My Computer
4. The drive you stuck the SD card in should be listed...double click it to open
5. I think there should be 3 files on the SD card....
a. Matrix...this is where your unit's info is...leave it alone
b. XXXX...Cant remember what this file is called but it's where the .png snapshots are
c. YYYY...can't remember what this file is called but it's where the .dat recordings are
6. Drag this entire YYYY file from the SD card to the new HB recording file you created in 2c above
7. Start the Humviewer program ...it will say something "use "X".DAT from previous session?" click cancel
8. With Humviewer open...click "File" up in the top left corner
9. Click "Open" ...at this point Humviewer should direct itself to the new folder HB recordings...
if it doesn't you may have to direct it to the folder..but once you direct it the first time...HV will
remember the path on all subsequent operations...
10. When you get HV to open the HB recordings folder...select any file in that folder that has a .DAT
extension....(.DAT files are the .SON file data of your recordings)
11. Clicking on the .DAT file should put that file in "open" box at the bottom of that window...
12. Click the "Open" button at the bottom right...the recording should load into HV....this can take a few
minutes depending on how long the recording is....GPS data ia ALOT of data to load...be patient....
(this is 1 reason it is advisable to make recordings 30 minutes or less)
