    i have a 597 hd humminbird. How can I set the depthfinder to compensate for the amount the transducer is down in the water?

    The Depth Offset menu is under the Setup menu tab in the main menu system. You will need to have the User Mode menu (also under the Setup menu tab) set to "Advanced" to see it though.
