    Default Battery Voltage?

What would be the voltage reading of a 12V battery when the 12v trolling motor quits running? I have never checked this.

when a 12v batt reads below 11.8 or below via a DVM its considered fully discharged isn't it?
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

The lowest I've ever gotten the TM batt down to is 10.1 and it was starting to get a little on the extreme slow side. I don't even know if an electric steer would be able to even turn once it was down in that range. Ah the interesting things you learn when both the battery and charger decide to die at the same time.

I have a ? that kinda pertains to this. When my start bat. is fully charged the HDS on the front reads 10.5 volts after about 6hrs. it goes down to 9.9to 10.1 volts. I check the Bat with voltmeter and it reads 12.2 at the end of day. Its a bass tracker 175 and Im using the stock wires upfront. Is it loosing voltage through the wires? Was thinking of running 12Ga. to the front.

If you know the size of the wire and load in amps, you can use an on line wire calculator and get the voltage drop.
