Okay, I have been reading and trying to figure a fix for my problem which appears to be many other folks problems. I put the HB on the front of my boat. It is mounted to the Terrova. I put a piece of rubber all way around the TM foot and then used hose clamp to secure the transducer to the TM. I got the filtered power cord from Hb and it still does no good. the depth goes crazy when the TM is used. goes back to normal when not in use. I ran the power to my fuse block which is ran to my cranking battery. My terrova has its own 2 batteries in another compartment. Any help on how to solve this issue?

If that does not work; try calling the Humminbird Customer Resource folks about this. I would not call today (Monday) as it is their busiest day of the week.
i have mine mounted on motorguide digital tour. i pigtailed my negative wire that comes off of the unit.one ground to ground block on boat .the other wire runs down the outside of the trolling motor shaft down to the skeg. theres a screw there that holds a corrosion doie there. i cant remember what it really called but somebody here can tell you what its called. i removed the screw put the wire on and put the scew back. seems to work pritty good for me
I did all that stuff including running new wire from my starting battery (18 gauge) to the 597 ci hd di humminbird unit. Read in a post here to run 12 gauge wire (reduces line loss). ordered that wire will install when arrives. called humminbird asked what size wire to use for my application. told to use 18-20 gauge wire. sent in unit. waited ten days. called humminbird. they said my transducer was bad. in the mail coming back to me. will see when I get it back if it works. will keep all posted to results. Not a happy camper . fished two weeks now no finder up front.
