I have a handheld Garmin 60csx gps unit. I have about 100 or so waypoints on it for local lakes. I recently purchased a Humminbird 998 c and I would like to transfer the waypoints.
I am sure this can be done but can anyone tell me how or tell me where to find directions?
I am technologically challenged so I may be in over my head!!!!!!

I think I'm in way over my head. Looks like I will be carrying my handheld with me for awhile!!!
it'll take a while but you could pull up the coordinates on your hand held and put them in the 988 manually.
smiles are contagious, spread them around

where in AR are you? Close to Corning area by chance, NEA? Do you have a PC cable to use with your unit?
Not so. Here is a link to how to convert waypoints from your Garmin HHGPS to your Humminbird:

Let me know if you hit any snags.
Greg,
Thanks for the link. How do I save the waypoints to the sd card? My handheld has a tiny card in it. Do I save the waypoints to another card?
If that is a memory card than you can connect it to your computer (you may need a card reader for your computer or an adapter if it is a MiniSD or MicroSD memory card) and open the file using HumminbirdPC.
You can download it from the Humminbird web site when you register your unit.
