they do make a thruhull lss 1 ducer ,do a search and u will find one

Lss1 is not a thru hull ducer, it needs to be mounted to the transom or better yet a jack plate. The 2D (puck or skimmer) is the thru hull. You need both ducers close together and as close to center as possible
