New 4.0 software for the HDS units is available now.

i cant get the update to transfer to my sd card any advise on what to do

Be sure you have a blank SD card at least 512MB then follow these instructions.

i have and on step six it pops up diffrent it has three diffrent things i can pick. modify,repair or delete and that is the only opitions.there is no option to load it on the sd card. i used this card on the last up date and it worked.i deleted,reformated and have tried everything to get it to load onto it.any more help???

You will have to uninstall the download, then do another download. For some reason you only get one shot at the download. If you get it copied to the SD again, copy all the downloaded Lowrance stuff you saved on the SD to another folder and save it. This will work.

thanks got it installed and it works great.

even a dummy can update a hds,i updated my hds 7 today ,no problem
