Thread: Networking HDS.....

Networking with Ethernet.. I finally networked my LCX27 with the HDS7 and HDS8. I lost my 2d sonar on the LCX. I disconnected the Ethernet to the LCX and 2d appeared. I guess I need to set something up. It was too windy on Ky Lake too try anything. The LCG 4000 works! I had the direction extension turned on. The high gusty winds and the large white caps had the screen looking like it had a windshield wiper built in and running on high speed. The 2 HDS Networked properly and I didn't have to change nutin'.

I was out all of 20 minutes. Don't need fish that bad.

that black line in front of the direction arrow on the map page. You can turn the line off/on.

CP, sometimes I have trouble deciding which direction the arrow is pointing, wishing they would have made the arrow a little longer. If I am understanding what you are saying would this help me? [I need all the help I can get] If so how do I turn it on? Thanks for all the great information you bring to this board! Z21.

Heading extension. You can turn it on in the Chart Menu. Go to:, main menu,, scroll down to chart,, enter,, scroll to heading extension,, enter,, select time interval,, enter,, then exit.
