You guys using #6 wire from the battery to the TM. What plug and receptacle are ya'll using ??
Most all I find are for #8 or #10 wire.
Or better yet what are ya'll using, I need to be able to disconnect the TM from battery when charging and don't want to have to undo the wiring at the battery.
My old TM was wired with #8, but I installing another battery for the new TM close to the front and have ran #6 due to the 60 amp breaker.
Thanks for any help.
Why do you have to disconnect the tm ?

These work great
http://www.basspro.com/Marinco®-Conn.../23099/-709764
and for the 6 gauge wire Marinco 6-Gauge Wire Receptacle Adapter
Fair Winds and Following Seas

I looked at those too, but to me if I got to reduce the connection I just defect the reason to use #6 wire. Also that adds an extra connection point with the adapter.
I'm just trying to get as close as I can to a straight #6 circuit without any size reduction in conductors. Until it gets to the TM leads which are #8 leads and the book calls for a 60 CB![]()
the one I have are real heavy look at item # 1K-011811
You would think that some bright star would have a 6ga wire marine grade plug/socket on the market by now. Shouldn't havta depend on Won Ton.
