UPDATE: Taking a break today and getting ready for crappie tournament sat, moving boat out of the water on trailor tomorrow. will wait for new transducer to get here to do much more, but try increasing the sensitivity way up to see if it will show arches, seems like they have to do that from what i read on another forum. well see!

UPDATE: i found the perfect way to check the settings uninterrupted today on the fishfinder. have your boat breakdown, next to one of your tournament buddies prefishing, and get a tow to the ramp where hubby was waiting with the trailor to take you out of the water anyway for dunking in elsewhere for the tournament.
yes,speckanator was kind enough, from crappie.com, to tow me to trimble park through beauclaire and out of Carlton. gave me ample time, to check my settings and watch as the bottom passed under me, without having to worry about running the boat----then, after i am at the ramp , the boat works perfectly, naturally. then at the next ramp, while unloading the boat, the trolling motor got hung on something on the trailor, and broke the lift mount on my new terrova ---having a good day now. hope tomorrow is better, and the fish symbols keep on working----update tomorrow night----results!

UPDATE: boat is out of the water, waiting on new transducer lowrance is sending. in the meantime , i will be at lake istapoga, blue gilling it over easter. my brother in law just mounted a new humminbird 798 si , will see how its working----------then we will see----------when i get back------------

no, after he saw the trouble i was having , he took his boat to the marina to have it installed----lol we'll see how that went when i get there this weekend! lol

What's the deal with the arches? I turn my fish ID off, and it will show arches on Walleyes. I never seen any arches from any other fish. If there fish your seeing? What does the arch matter? I'm missing something I guess. Thanks...
