Hello folks, I have a quick question. Are the transducers the same that come with 798 and the 998. You see I bought a 798 and want to mount in on the console for a while and then move it to the bow and mount it on the TM when I buy the 998. So I dont want to have to move the TD. I would like to just send in the one for the 998 to get the correct one for the TM.
Ok did you guys follow that or did I confuse you all.

Allan, Thanks for the heads up. I guess I will just have to mount the 700 on the bow right now and then just buy the 900 soon.

The 798 ships with a compact ducer ,but can use the larger ducer that ships with the 8 9 and 1100 series. The 798 won't use the extra frequencey ( I never use the other freq, on my 1100 anywaY )
After what I (and and many others)have gone thru over the last few weeks, I would suggest that you not use the compact ducer that comes witht the 798 if you going to put it
on the trolling motor. Call HB, they will do and exchange for the bigger ducer.
Research 798's and RF interference, I wish I had. You can read my thread here on Trollling Motor interfence.
