997 querstion
I'm not getting anything from my unit. It's not even putting up the reading boxes where the the speed and such would be. I checked my connection at the Unit and it looks OK and have put Dielectric grease in the connections. I've tried System Restore a couple times and checked the pins to see if any were bent and there weren't any. If I remember right, it didn't show water temp either for some reason. Could this have something to do with the new update in the software I just did? If so, can I erase the new update off the Sim card and put the old one back on it since I did save the BIN file. Any of you got any ideas on any of this?

If you put the old update on the SD card and power it on. It will ask if you want to update since the two versions don't match. Select yes, then no and you should be on your way.
I'd remove the new update from the SD card, though. Never tried it with two updates on the same card, so can't tell ya what would happen.

I can delete the newer version from the card just like I did with the old one. Put in in the puter and delete. I don;t want to do that though if it's no needed. Gonna take the puck off the back deck and take it apart to see if there's a lose wire inside the puck tonight. I GOT to have this fixed by Friday night since I have a tourney Saturday morning. SI and DI work fine, just no GPS and that's a biggie

DD i had that happen Just unplug the GPS cable from back of the unit and plug back in. Worked for me Thats all I got.

It powers on fine but it will not give me anything as far as my lake maps, speed I'm going, really nothing to do with the GPS. I unplug it and take it off the boat after each use and store the unit in the back seat of my truck so it won;t get stolen. I just have no idea whats going on with it

GPS puck may be bad, I had to replace mine last year.
Also, jiggle the connection around a little on the back of the unit while it's on and see if that box comes back on, mine does that once in a while, especially if I use the wire harness on the back. I seem to get a better connection most of the time without that harness, as goofy as that sounds.
It's all over but the fryin'......
