Thread: Issues With Lowrance LCX-111C

I recently acquired a boat with a 111c on it the buttons don't seem to be working properly. I understand this is an older unit and it seem to work in every other respect but the buttons seem like they are not making connect occasionally if pressed abnormally hard they seem to work. I'm just wondering if anyone has ever replaced the key pad in one of these units. I would assume that it is a separate board and should be pretty plug and play. I'm just curious as it seems all key pads are virtually the same if they are interchangeable I have an x88 and an x15 that I would be willing to sacrifice. Is this a good idea or should i contact lowrance? If i contact lowrance are they simply going to tell me I'm sol or will they offer me a rebate on an hds 10? I really like the operation of lowrance and don't want to be forced to go with humminbirds.
