    Okay, I'm starting to understand this SI, DI, maps, GPS a little better. Lots of options on what you can see.

    Let's say I finally do buy something and get it all hooked up and running.
    What screens do you guys find helpfull and where? Bow vs. console.

    I put my 1197 beside the console on a RAM mount. (make sure you get the big one if you get the 1197) When I move to the front I just turn it around to face the front. I'm using a Lowrance in the front but keep an eye on the one at the console. Really helps find brush when I weave back and forth over a drop off. Sometimes I find it with the Lowrance but plenty of times the Humminbird picks it up. The bigger screen helps, especially when using sidescan.

    If you buy 2 HDS and 1 LSS-1 you can view the SI/DI on both units. Saves a little money doing it that way.

    Cabelas has the combo units a little cheaper than purchasing separate for the lows units
