    i have my on my boat now, it is rooster tailing pretty good, and reading good, so i moved it up, and doesn't read at 35mph , so i guess that i need to move it down alittle more

    try the black tape if u want an easy fix ,i just wanted something nicer,but the tape works

    The way I did mine is on the bottom side of the motor mount there is aluminum deal held on with to bolts I think its for corrosion aint exactly sure. But I used an aluminum angle and bolted it to there and then bolt the TD to the other end. Heres a pic But since this pic I moved it outward 6in. to get away from the step in hull. No drilling boat at all.

    That looks good too wilbur, I'm not satisfied with my TD mount.

    wilbur u get any rooster tail where u got it mounted,might have to try that way looks good

    Not that ive noticed but you can see the top is covered by the angle. It didnt read at speed where i have it I moved it right 6in.

    Here's mine on a 185 Tracker. Reads speeds up to around 42mph with no rooster tail. HB 385c
