    Default bass tracker transducer mounting question


    I have a 2001 bass tracker 175, and was wondering where is the best place to put the transducer on the back of my boat to avoid a rooster tail, and make it read at 35 mph?

    probally humminbird if hes getting rooster tail

    i mounted mine on an alum block and made an alum shield on top:D

    Did you mount yours that low to try to get a high speed reading?

    notice the black tape still on ,that was a tempory fix and works too,use to look like someone was peeing in my boat when i first installed transducerThumbs Up

    yeah fixing to move it alittle lower ,mine will read 25mph to 30mph now though

    most people dont mount them that low because of their price ,but mine been below pad for atleast a year and havent broke it yet
